Enrichment Policies & Procedures
Enrichment Programs are available at Miller-Driscoll, Cider Mill, Middlebrook, and Wilton High School. Programs run in three sessions: Fall, Winter, and Spring. Classes are held for 60 - 90 minutes, once a week, for approximately eight weeks. Space is limited in many programs; registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration ends the Wednesday before the sessions begin. Registrations received after this date will be accepted if there is space. Program fees are not pro-rated after the session begins. A $20 late registration fee will apply per program.
Cancellation/Program Change Policy for All Programs
Parent-initiated cancellations will result in a program credit voucher less a $20 withdrawal fee. Materials fees are non-refundable. If a student withdraws from a program after the session has started, but before half the sessions have been held, and the class is still in session, the student will receive a pro-rated WCE program credit voucher. The credit voucher refund is based on the number of classes held when WCE is informed of the withdrawal from class (less the $20 withdrawal fee). There are no credits for same day cancellations and no-shows. There is no credit for students who withdraw after half of the sessions have been held. Students must withdraw from a 1-2 week program, 10 days prior to the start of the program to receive a program credit voucher.
School Closing, Delayed Opening or Early Dismissal
If schools are closed, have a delayed opening or are dismissed early, ALL Enrichment Programs, including Gymnastics, are cancelled for that day. Make-up classes are added to the end of the session. PLEASE READ PERTINENT INFORMATION BELOW RE: YOUR SCHOOL.
REMINDER FOR MILLER-DRISCOLL SCHOOLS
All students will meet outside the Miller-Driscoll library upon dismissal. Students will be met by the Continuing Education staff and instructors and will then go to the program location with their instructor. Students dismissal plan must be entered in School Dismissal Manager by 12:25 pm on the day of class. Parents, guardians and other authorized individuals are required to sign-out and pick-up their child at designated pick-up locations. Check class descriptions for end times since they vary for different programs. Late pick-up fees will apply (see below).
REMINDER FOR CIDER MILL SCHOOL
The Continuing Education staff will check student attendance only at the first class of each session. For subsequent classes, it is expected students attend the program on his/her own without follow-up by our staff. Parents should remind students of their program each week and enter the students dismissal plan in School Dismissal Manager by 12:25 pm. Students should go directly to the enrichment program location upon dismissal. Parents, guardians and other authorized individuals are required to go to the program location through the main entrance to sign-out and pick up their children. Check class descriptions for end times since they vary for different programs. Late pickup fees will apply (see below).
Late Pickup Fees
At pickup, parents, guardians and other authorized individuals are required to enter the school building via the office entrance, proceed to the program location and sign out their child(ren). Late fees will apply for children being picked up after the program end time. Please understand our instructors have commitments after class. Late fees are: $20 for the first 15 minutes after class; $15 for each 15 minute increment thereafter.
